May 2024: The End of a Chapter
May was an unusual month in the development of this game. Barely any coding was done, but a few other big things happened.
In the beginning of the month, I worked hard at creating a pitch deck. A lot of writing needed to be done, in order to plan out the flow of the game, business model, plan out the development time, budget and much more. So even though the work spent on creating that document hasn't manifested as actual code in the game yet, it still serves as a valuable foundation on which I will build my future decisions and features. (I'm working towards having a small demo available later this year. More details on that later!)
At the end of the month, another big thing happened. I worked the last day at my job as a Game Art Generalist at Game Swing in Copenhagen, Denmark. I spent the last 4 years working with them on OddBallers and GUNTOUCHABLES and had a great time with the team! At the moment, I don't have any other job lined up, so I'm doing some smaller projects here and there while I'm trying to figure out how much time to spend on this project in the future. Is full-time possible? If so, I would love to go all in! There are still some things up in the air, but I expect to be able to come to a conclusion during the summer.
