April 2024: Important Detour
This month was slightly different than before, since I needed to take a break from developing in order to focus on job applications.
It's not yet possible for me to focus on this project full-time, since I'm working regular hours as a Game Art Generalist at the moment. However, that employment will end soon, so I have been focusing on updating my portfolio ( https://robegarden.artstation.com/projects ) and reaching out to different studios to see if there's any of their projects that I can work on in the nearest future.
If anyone who reads this want me to help out on their project, feel free to get in touch!
I've also been working on a pitch deck for Iterium, so I will be using some materials from that to update the page here on itch.io once the deck has been completed.
I'm expecting to be able to return to work at least one hour each day on Iterium during May and onward. If I'm lucky, I might be able to switch over to working full-time on this, but that's not certain at the moment. See you next time at the end of May!

I relate to your situation, and hope things go well for you.
You seem to be on the right track in general. The best advice I can give is not to underestimate networking (something that I sadly struggle with).
Either way, I look forward to the next update in may. And once again, good luck!
Thank you! I'm doing my very best to reach out to the people I know in the industry, but sadly the situation seems to be similar at a lot of companies at the moment. Many places need to downsize in order to stay afloat.
But I'm not giving up! I'm still investigating any possibility I have. Educations, jobs, solo projects... anything is worth considering if it is a realistic option to go forward.
I don't know what your struggle is, but I wish you the best of luck! I think you are a nice and friendly person and I would assume that other people you contact would feel the same, so I think you should just go for it! Keep contacting people and practicing your skills and it has to work out for you sooner or later! Good luck!
